Bevyhouse is a premium builder of custom, prefabricated homes. We are the future of residential construction and are looking for an experienced carpenter to lead our team and expand their skill set and career opportunities.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for quality craftsmanship and a strong work ethic. Working closely with the Production Manager, the Lead Carpenter will perform the following tasks:
1. On a daily basis, inform the Production Manager of the progress of the project
2. Supervise the activities of the company’s field carpenters and/or independent subcontractors.
3. Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company’s time, manpower, and materials on each project
4. Be responsible for tracking the progress and profitability of the projects under his or her supervision and reporting to the Production Manager
5. Ensure the image of the company is supported by the appearance and activities of the installation teams and job sites.
6. Seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management employees as needed to enhance existing skills, learn new skills, and create potential for advancement within the company.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or GED
Five (5) years of experience in rough and finish carpentry at a residential construction company
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors/laborers to their understanding. (Bilingual a plus)
Possess an understanding of residential construction practices.
Knowledge of related tools, finish techniques, equipment, and materials
Demonstrate experience and passion for client satisfaction.
Must have reliable transportation that can transport tools and materials safely between job sites and a clean driving record.
