The PD team collaborates with the Founder/President and all cross-functional team to develop and execute new color and skincare products from concept through execution. The PD team is responsible for all new development with a focus on innovation through ingredients, formula and packaging. WHAT YOU DODrive day-to-day development of all new color cosmetic and skincare launches (100 new skus per year) and manage existing product reformulations or tech transfersSupport the development of long-term innovation roadmap by identifying innovation opportunities in line with strategic proprieties and category dynamicsLead conversations with cross-functional teams (CEO, Marketing, Operations & PD Leadership) to ideate and define product concepts and initiate all new developmentCollaborate with Marketing team at the start of new development to ensure desired claims and copy are supported by formulation and ingredientsCollaborate closely with Project Manager to build timelines and meet critical milestonesManage all new development in adherence to the established timelines and provide weekly updates to the Project ManagerDevelop color stories and shade lineups that represent Hourglass’ creative strategy and align with brand business goalsResponsible for completing competitive analysis highlighting relevant trends in color, formula, and new product launchesCoordinate all testing samples (i.e. stability, safety, claims, etc.)Understand Hourglass’ existing portfolio and continuously perform deep analysis of category assortments to identify innovation opportunitiesSupport team in coordinating product samples for photoshoots, retailers, and marketing needsEstablish and maintain close relationships with all vendors. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
