Colorado, Boulder, 80301 Boulder USA
Apply Now

We are looking for a dynamic Mentor to join our team. Mentors offer clients a relational and skills-based approach to managing stress and anxiety through diet/exercise/community/mindfulness/finding meaningful activities. Mentors support emotional regulation, finding life-balance, practicing healthy tech use, executive function coaching, and developing effective social/communication skills. Sometimes this means supporting high school or college age students plan, organize, and follow through with assignments, daily tasks, and appointments. Other times, Mentors meet with adult clients in their homes or in the community to build life skills like budgeting, organization, light cleaning, time in nature, and meal prep. Mentors are encouraged to “show up” with their own personality, interests, and humor while upholding excellent professional boundaries.

This is a PART-TIME, ON-CALL employee position with competitive hourly pay. We are a small, but growing, organization and hours depend on client needs. Mentors generally meet in person with clients in the Boulder/Longmont area, though some of our clients live closer to Denver.

Qualifications:

-Master’s degree is preferred but we will consider a Bachelor’s degree with considerable experience. This is not an entry-level position.

-Applied knowledge of how ADHD and Autism impact individuals. We strive to provide support that respects and embraces a wide range of neurotypes. Many of our clients are autistic and require skillful neuroaffirming care.

-Gender-affirming.

-Experience working in education and/or mental health settings such as wilderness therapy programs, therapeutic boarding schools, or residential treatment.

-Superb executive function skills (timeliness, excellent communication skills, and follow-through).

-After-school availability to work with school-age clients.

-Able to confidently collaborate with teams consisting of parents, psychotherapist, psychiatrist, and educational consultants.

-Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check.

Please submit your resume along with your email of interest. We look forward to meeting you!
