D&K Printing (dkprinting.com) in Boulder is renown for the quality of our product and customer service. We are growing and expanding our team. We're looking to add a Machine Operator to our Bindery Department who can effectively complete the tasks outlined below.
Position Summary:
Operate various machines (including but not limited to folders, die cutters, saddle stitcher, guillotine cutter, and perfect binder), perform various hand operations to assemble products, utilize small hand tools to assist with product assembly, inspect finished product, and package.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read instructions from job envelope to determine type of assembly needed and quantity.
Operate finishing equipment such as folders, die cutters, saddle stitcher, perfect binder, drill, and shrink wrapper.
Inspect products (finished goods and in-process).
Assemble products using small hand tools.
Insert or apply accessories if needed to finish product (velcro, elastic loops, etc.).
Collate and pack-out products.
Feed, catch, inspect and pack product/material produced off manufacturing equipment.
Transport product/material using power hand trucks.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Work as part of a team.
Experience running a bindery machine is a plus.
Qualifications:
Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
Mechanically inclined
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
