We are beginning to test and pilot Smart City and Smart Utilities elements which will continue to grow in size and complexity as we bring on distributed energy technologies from both a hardware and software perspective and we are looking for those who have interest and experience working within these spaces and ensuring the delivery to both our internal and external customers.As an Engineer IV, you will be responsible for several key programs of work ranging from supporting the current new AMI System to managing our System Metering portfolio for generation, interconnections, and renewables. This position is fast-paced and constantly evolving and requires someone with excellent communication skills.Key Duties in this job:

Function as the Measurement Engineering Lead responsible for maintaining our AMI System encompassing long-term maintenance and lifecycle of the system

Work with others within the enterprise and city to manage our AMI Test Farm and conduct testing of new technologies ahead of field pilot testing and assist with user requirement gathering, test case development, and test case execution

Responsible for all electrical metering and measurement elements, budget management, lifecycle activities, metering development to align with rates and tariffs, and overall maintenance of the electric portion of the AMI System

Demonstrate proficiency in the skills necessary to perform the duties of the MV90 System Administrator including managing upgrades to the system, patching, training for the system operators, and developing of new meter programs to support new rates

Responsible for Tier III support for electric meter-related issues and provide technical support for AMI communication technology and hardware

Collaborate with stakeholders from Service Lines, Customer Service, Information Technology Systems, AMI Operations, and Meter Shop to coordinate solutions development, and continuously improve existing and new solutions

Analyze and recommend solutions for AMI-based monitoring and measurement of data analytics

Ensure System Metering elements for interconnection, generation, and renewable connection meet standards for RTO and BA agreements and contracts

Ensure that all applicable standards are maintained and utilized to ensure compliance with measurement and accuracy

Serve as the Electric Meter Subject Matter Expert

Who you are

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; Electrical is preferred

AMI System experience, with an understanding of AMI systems to include IPV6 mesh, field troubleshooting tools

For this position you must have experience with electric measurement and metrology; examples would be experience with meter programming and selection, meter testing, meter application to rates and tariffs

Experience working in a multiple-service Utility domain or for an AMI Vendor

MV90 experience is an added plus

Familiarity with System Metering for generation, interconnect, substation, and renewables
