The Shipper is primarily responsible for preparing shipping documents, performing final physical counts of all items to be shipped and verifying counts against work orders. Preparing all packaging according to work order specifications. Arranging for appropriate carrier according to determined service level of the sales order, including UPS, Fed-Ex, LTL, DHL or other carriers. Using customer portals to verify shipping instructions. Maintaining Finished Good inventory and properly handles all materials, pars, and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
Requires a minimum of 12+ months of shipping and/or receiving experience. Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Must be experienced in navigating customer websites, shipping software and manufacturing packages. The Shipper must have the ability to read basic prints and possess basic math skills, be organized and be attentive to detail. This position does requires continuous standing, walking, reaching and lifting between 10 lbs. to 35 lbs. on a continual basis without mechanical assistance. Frequent lifting of 36 lbs. to 75 lbs.
