Established Strategic Accounting firm looking for a Tax Preparer with at least 10 years experience to also handle accounting services for two clients. One to be done at client site close to our office and the other to be done in our office.
Possibly work Full-time during tax seasons, but Part-time the rest of the year.
Tax Preparation responsibilities will include mainly individual, a few non-profit and possibly some business returns. Accounting responsibilities include recording deposits and withdrawals, paying bills, monthly reconciliations, preparation of financials and sales tax.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal will be essential for dealing with clients. Clients are small, closely-held businesses and individuals, so you must understand the dynamics of small businesses.
Prior experience with 10+ years of tax preparation and public accounting a must. UltraTax or another large tax software package experience a must. An advanced understanding of QuickBooks, Excel and Word are a must. Outlook and ACT experience helpful.
