Accounting Clerk

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Denver, Colorado, United States. This position is within the finance industry and provides an opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks related to grant accounting for a non-profit organization. Responsibilities Conducting thorough and timely reviews of grant billings to ensure accuracy and completeness. Familiarizing oneself with the specific terms, conditions, and requirements of funding contracts. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of non-profit grant accounting principles and practices. Managing and tracking expenditures as mandated by the grant. Assisting with the collation of materials for audits, both internal and external. Undertaking additional tasks as necessary to support the finance team. Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data entry and account reconciliation tasks. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, with the ability to accurately balance financial accounts. Experience in Billing, including preparing invoices and managing accounts receivable. Proficient in Data Entry, ensuring accurate and efficient input of financial information into relevant databases. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced features. Knowledge of Grant Accounting, with the ability to manage and monitor grant funds.
