Salary Range: $23.89/hour - $30.88/hourJob Summary:This individual contributor position is responsible for providing customer service to talent acquisition clients and candidates; supporting the implementation of TA strategies and process improvement initiatives; maintaining confidential human resources information; and supporting and maintaining HR compliance with local, state, and federal laws, standards, and regulations. This position is also responsible for providing support throughout the job auditing and posting process, the candidate screening and hiring process, and/or with drug screening and background checks as appropriate.Essential Responsibilities:

Provides customer service to pre-boarding clients and candidates by confirming start dates and orientation information with hiring managers and new employees; working with Human Resource consultants and management to resolve issues that could delay candidate start dates; communicating directly with hiring managers, recruitment, and new hires and transfers in a professional manner to facilitate a timely pre-boarding process while maintaining a high level of confidentiality; and managing completion of work and maintaining relationships through effective, courteous and customer-friendly phone interaction.
Maintains confidential human resources information by providing HR administration with candidate specific hire data and submission forms to ensure correct job code, compensation, and benefits; verifying SSNs and personal data; facilitating vaccine exemption requests between new hires, Legal, and disability management teams; tracking approvals/denials and communicating final decisions to hiring leaders and candidates; submitting other hiring information exceptions to HR administration in light of offer negations, contract language, and/or system exceptions; and working closely with HR consultants/staff and recruitment managers to resolve issues related to local collective bargaining group agreements, licensure validation, and background investigation adjudication.
Supports and maintains HR compliance with local, state, and federal laws, standards, and regulations by processing and validating Federal I-9 work authorizations for new hires and transfers; completing I-9 reverifications for expired work authorizations; escalating cases directly to KP Legal when work authorizations cannot be confirmed; supporting audits with service area surveyors, medical groups, Legal, and other stakeholders related to employment application, background investigation, drug testing, and I -9 completion reports; and submitting manual background checks through state registries and/or patrols according to state policy and surveyor regulations.
Ensures accurate benefits and pay revisions by managing job code changes for union employees transferring into new positions; and working with the HR administration to fix any discrepancies on offers including job codes, union designations, benefits and pay.
Initiates and coordinates background checks by verifying candidate SSNs and birth dates; requesting employment verification documents (e.g., paystubs, W-2s, IRS wage statements, 1099s, military work history forms, etc.); determining when motor vehicle reports are required and requesting copies of drivers licenses and vehicle insurance as appropriate; requesting copies of valid clinical licenses as required; and escalating current/pending criminal findings and failed background investigations to leadership.
Coordinates KPs candidate drug screen process by confirming applicants complete drug screens within the allotted time frame; communicating positive drug screen results with candidates; ensuring candidates have verified prescription medications with KP medical offices as appropriate; and escalating failed drug screens to leadership for further review.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and Minimum Three (3) years experience working in an office environment or in an administrative, operations, or customer service role.
