NOW HIRING: Transportation Driver - Weekend
Dream Books Company is currently seeking to fill an open Transportation Driver position. This is an outstanding opportunity for motivated and talented applicants! As a Transportation Driver, you’ll be responsible for serving our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. This position is located in Denver and is a full-time position.

Transport and Logistics Transport materials, plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Organizing inventory and pallet building (MUST be able to consistently lift 20-40 lbs)

Full-time shift: 4 day work week | Daytime 10 hours | Weekend, Friday-Monday

Responsibilities
Transport materials over land to and from vendors
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and mileage spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
Log weight and vendor data for each stage of the loading and unloading process
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Secondary Responsibilities
Transportation Drivers are to maintain their work areas keeping it free from trash, debris, and other hazards.
Skills
Basic Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Basic Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
High Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Basic Computer Skills: Ability to use log weights and vendors.
Education and Training
The minimum level of education required is a HS Diploma/GED.
Specialized training is not required prior to training to perform this job.
Must have a valid driver's license (non-CDL is acceptable) and no recent moving or driving violations.
Experience
Prior experience is not necessary but preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Time management, organization, written communication skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Frequent standing, walking, and sitting
Frequently lifting and moving up to 40 lbs
Regular use of hands, reaching with hands and arms
Occasionally talking/hearing
No special vision requirements
Frequently working in extreme cold and heat environments
Frequently working near machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Moderate noise level
Salary
Starting pay is $21.00 per hour.
