RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Englewood, CO that is seeking a Software Engineer II.
Summary:We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Customer Provided Equipment WiFi Development team in our Englewood, CO office. Ideally, we are looking for a skilled software engineer with experience developing hardware-centric testing applications and someone with the motivation to help us improve processes and create best standards within our lab.Job Description: The Software Engineer II will be working inside the Wi-Fi Team for Charter Communications, supporting Customer Provided Equipment (CPE Devices/routers) testing and development. As a member of the Firmware and Feature Development Team, the Software Engineer II will be working to create test tools that allow our WiFi engineers to certify features as they are developed on routers. This job requires intrinsic motivation, flexibility, and a willingness and desire to learn more about upcoming WiFi features.Responsibilities: Software Engineer II will be working with WiFi engineers to understand testing requirements for new features Understanding of the capabilities and operations of test equipment. Translating testing requirements or test case documents to software Software Engineer II will be writing automated test scripts Contributing to the development of a new test case development platform Software Engineer II will be supporting new and existing test case execution including triaging and resolving bugsREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Data Science 2+ years experience programming in Python or similar language Familiarity with REST API functionality, design, and testing Experience interacting with both SQL and NoSQL databases Familiarity with server-side code and asynchronous programming Experience with version control, code repositories, and working on collaborative projects User level familiarity with any Linux OS, Ubuntu or CentosOS/RHL preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with members across teamsDesirable to have: Familiarity with RF communication Experience designing and implementing REST APIs Experience designing schemas and setting up databases Understanding of test driven development practices Familiarity working in an Agile environment Keywords:Python, Matlab, Javascript, SQL, MongoDB, Database, Test Case, API, REST, Linux, Ubuntu, Git, Gitlab, Github, Agile, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, DataKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
