Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Compliance Specialist in Fort Collins, Colorado. The role involves a substantial focus on compliance, customer service, and general operations within our industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and compliance with relevant regulations.Responsibilities Overseeing daily operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Ensuring compliance with Section 42 (IRS) and/or Project-Based Section 8 (HUD) regulations. Facilitating effective and positive resident communications including handling inquiries and resolving issues. Assisting with the management of the leasing process, including conducting property tours and ensuring all documentation is compliant with regulations. Coordinating with maintenance staff to ensure effective completion of work orders, inspections, and property upkeep. Assisting with rent collection and ensuring compliance with rent payment policies. Managing the property's budget, including monitoring expenses, approving invoices, and assisting with financial reporting. Ensuring compliance with all affordable housing regulations and guidelines, including maintaining accurate resident and property records. Providing support to the Community Manager and other team members, and participating in team meetings to contribute to the development of strategies to improve community operations. Assisting with the preparation of reports for regulatory agencies, management, and ownership.Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in CRM software Strong data processing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency Experience in auditing processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiency Proficiency in check processing operations Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong understanding of compliance requirements in a business environment Experience in creating and maintaining compliance documentation Proven skills in compliance management, ensuring all operations meet regulatory standards Knowledge of corporate tax compliance procedures Familiarity with HUD guidelines and regulations Experience in indirect tax compliance, including VAT and sales tax procedures TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
