Job Description:
As the Landscape Construction Crew Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing landscape construction projects from start to finish. You will lead a crew of workers, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires hands-on expertise in landscape construction, a leadership mindset, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of landscape construction workers on various projects
Plan, organize, and execute landscaping tasks such as grading, drainage, hardscaping (e.g., patios, retaining walls, walkways), planting, irrigation installation, and more
Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet company quality standards
Provide hands-on training, guidance, and support to crew members
Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and proper equipment use
Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other team members
Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues that arise during construction
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in landscape construction or related field
1+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques, tools, and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and drawings
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
OSHA certification or similar safety training is a plus
