Selected candidates will be in a Project Management role within our collaborative and engaging organization that is developing municipal and industrial water/wastewater solutions that seamlessly transition from project development to design plans to completed projects that achieve client expectations and further Kiewit’s legacy of excellence.At Kiewit, Project Engineers are an integral part of our overall project management teams with direct access to Engineering and Construction leaders across the organization and an ability to impact all facets of project execution. Project Engineers hold a key support role engaged with the Engineering Project Management team in the pursuit, planning, execution, and administrative aspects of project development and delivery. They serve as a conduit of information between the Engineering Project Management team and the integrated delivery team. Specific focus areas include budget, schedule, risk and change management for Kiewit design teams and external partners on industrial and municipal water and wastewater collaborative delivery projects and pursuits. The team brings project solutions to life across North America in the following areas: Water Treatment Potable Municipal and Groundwater Desalination Advanced Water Reuse Groundwater Remediation Stormwater Recycling Industrial Water Treatment Wastewater Treatment Biosolids Treatment Pipelines and ConveyanceLocationLone Tree, CO (Denver area) preferredResponsibilitiesStrategic SupportFunction as an established representative of Kiewit’s brand, readily supporting pursuit and project development while partnering on division of responsibilities and integrated scopes of work.Serve as a partner to our Construction districts to earn trust, credibility, and buy-in and create better cohesion and clear communication within the organization.Support Senior Project Engineers, Engineering Project Managers, and Sponsors in developing the right data, reports, and tools for risk analysis and benchmarking for multiple projects such that sound business decisions can be made.Pursuit & Project Delivery ServicesProvide project engineering support consistent with contractual documents, quality plans and corporate policies: integrated schedules, engineering controls, risk and change management, and cost control and forecasting.Provide support of project management and engineering team(s) with the establishment of project procedures consistent with contractual documents, quality plans and corporate policies for all engineering work and coordinate tracking measures and reporting to ensure compliance.Conduct engineering tasks as needed to support the integrated delivery team’s needs, spanning pursuits and project delivery and coordinating with other Kiewit functions (e.g. Procurement, Commissioning, Business Development).Support development and maintenance of project-specific engineering master schedules, inclusive of internal and third-party activities, as applicable and its integration into the master project schedule.Support project risk and change management processes to ensure that project scope of work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood.Assist project management team with review of new issue drawings and contract documents for change of conditions to quantify and communicate impact of changes with project stakeholders.Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in engineering scope, budget and/or schedule.Complete progress and quantity audits to validate reported progress. Develop and maintain project-specific KPIs for reporting to project stakeholders.Support production of monthly reports on schedule, budget, cost and risk mitigation progress, trends, and forecasts.Promote, plan and coordinate activities consistent with collaborative delivery best practices with all Kiewit stakeholders, including constructability reviews, value engineering, risk management, schedule compliance and quantity management.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in any discipline from an accredited universityAdvanced Technical or Business Degree – MS, MBA (desirable)Professional Engineer (PE) License (desirable)7+ years’ experience in project/program management, project engineering experience and/or training, specifically in the Water industryOn-site experience with construction or commissioning (desirable)Knowledge and application of collaborative project delivery methods as associated supplier, designer, and subcontractor coordination and interface managementWorking knowledge and understanding of project controls terminology and scheduling processesAppreciation and understanding of the operations of other functions (e.g. Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, SQS, Business Management, Estimating, etc.)Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiativeStrong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job doneDemonstrated commitment to ethics and integrityStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills, including reporting and presentingTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectivesFocus on building trusting and collaborative teams and striving for excellence in project outcomesWilling and available to accommodate travel as business requires#LI-KS23Other Requirements:Regular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environmentPerform work safely and effectively.
