The housekeeping department comes together as an essential portion of our operations here at SummitCove Lodging. The level of efficiency and cleanliness that our housekeepers deliver ensures the satisfaction of our guests which leads to them wanting to come back and or recommend us to friends and family. We strive to have a level of service never seen before in the vacation lodging industry which is why the department of housekeeping plays such an important role.

You should enjoy the satisfaction of helping make a guest’s day by being a friendly face or voice that is there to help them. The ideal candidate will have:

-Background in customer service and be comfortable working independently both with guests and completing basic office tasks.

- Strategic planning; the ability to foresee the impact of operations not only for that day but for the weeks to come

- Supervisory experience is required, management experience is a plus.

- Fluency in English and Spanish, not only speaking but also reading and writing.

- Conflict Resolution & Problem Solving Skills.

How you’ll spend your days:

- Assist the Housekeeping Manager with leading a team of employees that fall under the housekeeping department

- Handle owner, guest and other customer issues and escalations appropriately

- Talent Management - Recruit and train all new housekeeping staff members with frequent and scheduled documented coaching to help staff develop and strengthen skills and abilities needed to accomplish work objectives

- Coordinate the daily activities of the Housekeeping department; scheduling all property cleans, communicating the schedule with cleaners, and ensuring they are completed in the appropriate time

- Continually innovate ways to improve current processes in order to be more efficient and add value to the guest’s experience

- Purchase, re-order and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory.

- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct

- Effectively communicate and maintain strong collaborative working relationship with all team members and co workers within all departments

- When an issue with Housekeeping is brought forward, proactively address the issue and make a plan of how to try to prevent that issue in the future

- Periodically inspect properties in order to evaluate staff performance

- Confidently communicates expectations, recognizes performance, and ensures employees are treated fairly and equitably

The aforementioned duties are not all encompassing of this position and are meant to provide a high level overview of day to day responsibilities

Starting salary for this position is $45,000/year. Starting pay may be above or below based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

SummitCove takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience relevant to the position for which they are applying, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
