Wordpress/PHP/Frontend Developer

Though only eight years old, 970 Design is already serving a number of Colorados most prestigious companies, as well as an impressive splash of clients from LA to NYC. We have numerous award-winning websites, and multiple exciting projects in the works (see our website for some of our past projects).
Quickly outgrowing our small biz britches, we're in need of someone who possesses powerful skills: they should work well both independently and as a team; drives deliverables forward and takes on ownership of projects; proactively overcomes roadblocks and drives toward deadlines; follows through aggressively; possesses a keen eye for detail; communicates articulately; holds in their minds the big picture of the company and the brand; and has a deep love of web & seeks being around those who feel the same.

Required skills for this position:
- Experience building Wordpress themes from scratch
- Complete understanding of responsive website builds
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; particularly XD, Photoshop & Illustrator
- Experience with browser testing
- Good communication skills
- Keen eye for details
- Passion for pushing the boundaries of interactive technologies and methods
- Ability to manage tasks and deadlines
Required technical knowledge:
- HTML5 / SCSS
- PHP 7, with understanding of OOP & MVC patterns
- Experience with front end frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap)
- Javascript development via ES5/6 and modern frameworks (e.g. jQuery)
- Experience using dependency management tools (e.g. Composer)
- Version control via Git
- Advanced Custom Fields for Wordpress (ACF)
- General SEO knowledge
- Experience developing locally and migrating websites
Responsibilities:
- Build Wordpress themes from scratch by following provided designs
- Maintain and enhance existing Wordpress (and other) websites
- Communicate with team members to execute projects successfully and on time
- Communicate with clients to manage tasks and projects
- Test, diagnose and troubleshoot website issues
Bonus points for:
- Experience with Sage 9
- Experience with Vue
- Experience with Laravel
- Experience with Drupal (7/8)
- Experience building Single Page Apps/Sites
- Experience configuring Webpack and other frontend bundlers
- Experience building Wordpress themes integrating ACF & Guttenberg
- Experience in ecommerce development
- Experience building email templates in MailChimp & Constant Contact
- Experience with Plesk
- Experience building to Section 508 specifications
