This position does not require relocation, however, it requires rotational travel for a minimum of 3 weeks at a time, with one weekend home (typical). To learn more about Conti Federal, please visit http://www.contifederal.com/ General Position Description The Project Manager (PM) leads the project team and works in partnership with our Field Management to deliver a safe, high quality, profitable environmental remediation project. The Project Manager will oversee and manage all phases of project delivery including scope execution, schedule, quality, and budget for environmental remediation construction projects. This position is responsible for safe work plans, client relations, risk management, cost control, contract management, and execution strategy. In addition, the PM is responsible for the business side of the project including managing the full profit and loss, as well as leading client engagement and satisfaction associated with the delivery of the project. This is a hybrid position with a mixture of remote work and strategic job site presence as required at locations within the Northeast region. Responsibilities

Responsible for all phases of planning and execution of environmental remedial construction and/or civil/earthwork projects of moderate to high complexity and risk (typically in excess of $5M).

Leads and enforces the safety and quality policies and procedures and addresses non-compliance among all employees, subcontractors, and vendors.

Supervises daily activities of project personnel including technical and administrative support and ensures that deliverables are produced on schedule and within budget.

Utilizes daily huddles to promote communication, resolve issues, and share ideas, so the projects are expeditiously and profitably constructed.

Leads the development of the project schedule with the Superintendent and ensures the team is executing to the plan.

Leads the development of required project work plans or engagement with team partners to ensure completion.

Maximizes cash flow by aggressively adhering to the project invoicing schedule and ensures the team accurately documents and submits all receivables, quantity as-builts, change orders, and claims.

Works to beat the labor and other cost budgets.

Produces complete subcontracts and ensures all subcontractors execute to the agreement and the company’s standards. Ensures the required documentation is executed in a timely manner.

Estimates, prices, and negotiates owner initiated extra work, change of scope items, and contract deletions to maximize profits.

Represents the company to client and maintains client relationships. Actively develops client relations to generate opportunities for new work.

Project work may include:

Earth moving and capping of waste.

Construction of slurry walls and/or other subsurface barrier walls.

Excavation and transportation and disposal of waste

Working around streams and waterways with stream bypassing and restoration.

Construction of groundwater extraction systems and treatment systems.

Contaminated soil stabilization.

Installation of shoring and dewatering operations.

Qualifications

For Security Clearance Requirements – must be a US Citizen, as required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geology, Environmental or Earth Science, Business, or related field.

Five or more years of experience as a Project Manager for the remediation of contaminated sites, preferably with CERCLA or RCRA experience.

Experience with excavation, waste disposal, excavation dewatering, and water treatment and management.

Federal project management experience preferred (USACE, NAVFAC, and USEPA).

Demonstrated success managing complex construction projects, subcontractors, and developing and executing innovative project changes.

Demonstrated success developing cost to complete, as well as costing, pricing, and tracking Change Orders.

Experience with project start-ups, subcontractor and vendor buyouts, and owner estimates.

Working knowledge of MS Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) and Primavera P6.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
