Just look up.Are you ready to go beyond? Hot Section Engineering (HSE) at Pratt & Whitney is currently looking for an experienced Methods engineer to join the HSE Advanced Methods team. The HSE Advanced Methods team is responsible for the development, deployment, and support of game-changing design tools and processes. Our group combines Engineering background with tool development skills to be able to properly gather requirements and develop the tools and processes our Engineering customers need to succeed. These tools and processes enable Pratt & Whitney to continually push the state of the art in gas turbine engine technology. The primary focus of this group is Hot Section Engineering, but the position also requires coordination and collaboration with other Methods groups within Pratt & Whitney.In this role, the Methods engineer will initially be working within our HSE Methods NX automation team. Our NX automation team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of both new and legacy CAD automation tools in the NX environment. In addition, the group helps drive the proficiency advancement of parametric CAD modeling inside Hot Section Engineering by working to develop advanced modeling techniques and create best practices and standard work.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

2+ years of experience in industry or an advanced degree

Familiarity with the NX CAD environment

1+ years of programming experience in an object-oriented language

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with turbomachinery components

Java programming experience

NXOpen API programming experience

Airfoil or other advanced surface modeling experience within the NX environment

Experience with revision control systems such as Github
