Description We are in search of a Payroll Analyst for our team located in the Hartford, Connecticut area. In the role of a Payroll Analyst, you will be tasked with the efficient and accurate handling of customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also be expected to monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions. Responsibilities Handle customer credit applications with precision and efficiency Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate Resolve customer inquiries promptly Monitor customer accounts regularly Take appropriate actions based on the status of customer accounts Utilize automated payroll systems effectively for processing and maintaining records Ensure compliance with payroll best practices and regulations Assist with payroll-related projects as needed Act as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and issues Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes.Requirements Proficiency in using Automated Payroll systems Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Minimum of three years of experience in payroll processing Comprehensive understanding of payroll legislation and procedures Strong numerical and data analysis skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines Knowledge of tax procedures and laws related to payroll Certification in payroll processing is a plus Familiarity with payroll software such as ADP or Paychex is desirable Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
