The Groundskeeper will work on the facilities team as a groundskeeper & general laborer. They will perform a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of buildings and surrounding grounds and to care for animals at our animal sanctuary, while also assisting with the upkeep of our Indoor and Outdoor gardens.
Mowing, trimming, and edging lawns
Fertilizing lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowers
Applying pesticides to control pests
Watering lawns and gardens
Sweeping walkways and clearing debris
Planting landscaping materials like flowers, shrubs, vegetables and trees
Mulching
Loading and unloading equipment from trucks
Operating and maintaining hand tools like shovels, saws, and loppers
Operating and maintaining power tools
Keeping grounds free of litter and trash
Pruning trees, hedges, and shrubs
Shoveling snow, salting sidewalks as required
Feed, water, and provide general care for livestock.
Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on building systems.
Construction laborer
Set up furniture and equipment for meetings, events, and/or conferences.
Ensure that all work areas are safe and free from hazards.
