Description We are seeking a dedicated Sr. Accountant to join our team for a short-term contract in Ledyard, CT. The ideal candidate will be able to carry out bank and accounting reconciliations, assist with budget preparation and financial planning, and actively participate in executive reporting. Key Responsibilities: Perform accurate bank reconciliations to ensure financially sound reporting. Carry out accounting reconciliations to verify transaction accuracy. Take part in the budget preparation and financial planning processes. Compare actual results to budgeted expectations and analyze any variances to aid management decisions. Prepare detailed executive reports on the financial status and possible risks. Utilize financial management and reporting tools such as NetSuite and Oracle. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Collaborate across departments to gather, interpret, and report on financial data.Requirements Profound experience in the role of Senior Accountant or a similar role in the accounting field. Excellent understanding and proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. Advanced knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite and Oracle. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues. Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable.
