HYBRID work model - 3 days in office, 2 days from home per weekRobert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager at one of our clients in the Financial Services industry, based in Naugatuck Valley. This role will oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department, manage staff, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payments, and provide exceptional service to all stakeholders.Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of invoices, purchase orders, and employee expense reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Training and development of AP staff by setting performance goals Manage and maintain vendor relationships, addressing any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices. Lead system upgrade to new cloud-based ERP platform Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports and performance metrics. Prepare for SOX compliance audits Ensure precise and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable and other related general ledger tasks.Desired Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable and supervisory/management experience Bachelor degree- Accounting or Finance preferred Strong Accounting or ERP software experience General accounting knowledge - Debits/Credits, SOX and sales & use tax compliance Prior background in financial services and/or credit union or banking institutionOur client offers a robust health insurance and benefits package to all employees. Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry. Proficiency in Account Coding. Strong knowledge and experience with Accounting Software Systems. Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is a must. Proven ability to use Concur software. Experience in Data Processing is required. Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions.
