The leading semiconductor company in the Northeast is hiring a skilled quality technician to join their team for a first shift opportunity in Newtown, CT! Quality Technician Description:

Experience in quality engineering, process controls, inspection and design, working in quality, manufacturing and or development engineering.

Support Root Cause Analysis activities to ensure corrective and preventative action.

Measure first article mechanical parts to 100% of Technical Product Document to verify supplier’s ability to produce parts to ASML specifications. and/or measure limited features on volume products or test equipment material.

Communicate and discuss measurement methods, results and techniques with Engineering for analysis and comparison to supplier data and methods.

Generate measurement program on CMM to measure mechanical parts and generate reports with point maps to submit to Engineering and Supplier for evaluation.

Document inspection results by writing Material Notification Reports for non-conforming parts using SAP to qualify and quantify observed deviations from the product Technical Procurement Document.

Perform visual inspections and testing as needed on parts needing evaluation.

Certified in or full knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings used to inspect machined parts.

Understanding and experience reading and interpreting Unigraphics CAD models.

Perform statistical analysis and reporting to support and maintain SPC.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years of dedicated CMM programming. Prefer PC-DMIS or Calypso.

Knowledge of SAP, MS Excel, MS Word & CAD (Unigraphics).

2+ years relevant experience in quality engineering including inspections and testing.

Diploma, Certification or Degree (Technical Engineering preferred).
