As a Medical Assistant, you will work collaboratively with physicians and advanced practitioners to ensure patients are provided with the most comprehensive care. Your responsibilities will include greeting and rooming patients, obtaining information for patient charts, documenting accurately using Epic EMR, updating patients' medical history, and handling prior authorizations. Additionally, you will be tasked with scheduling office visits, confirming appointments, updating patient insurance and demographic information, and monitoring the schedule of assigned providers.Hard Skills

Job TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Putnam, Connecticut.Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a busy outpatient medical center in Putnam, CT. The role requires flexibility to work 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with a primary need for the 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM shift. The environment is dynamic, with a total of 8 providers in the office, supported by 2 existing Medical Assistants and 1 cross-trained staff member.
