As brand ambassadors to Paraco, our dock/yard employees provide memorable, positive, and engaging experiences by providing customer service with propane filling and selling while ensuring our drivers have the tools and supplies necessary to service our customers. The dock/yard employee is an integral member of the Paraco family who brings a positive work ethic to deliver a great customer experience. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be a critical Grill Line Dock team member. Key responsibilities and essential job functions for the Dock Associate include, but are not limited to:
Facility maintenance - keeping yard and dock area clean and organized
Unloading tanks /cylinders
Refilling tanks /cylinders
Repair cylinders
Calibrating scales daily
Daily plant inspections
Filling Motor Fuel
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds with a hand truck throughout the day and bend, climb, reach, & rotate
Shift: Day and Afternoon/Evening. Overtime is required
Required Skills for the Dock Associate:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic addition and subtraction
Able to lift up to 50lbs throughout the day
Preferred Skills for the Dock Associate:
2+ years of forklift experience
Superior organizational and cleaning skills
Strong interpersonal skills - customer-focused, enthusiastic, committed, motivated, and resourceful
Listening, reading, and following instructions to perform responsibilities safely and efficiently
Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings to ensure safety
Practical verbal and written communication skills to speak with customers, vendors, and other employees.
