Job Summary: The Shipper & Receiver is responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of products, materials, and supplies in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled efficiently and accurately, maintaining the flow of goods and materials within the company.Key Responsibilities:

Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.

Verify and match shipping documents to product orders.

Label and store received items in designated storage areas.

Prepare and pack outgoing shipments according to shipping instructions.

Create and maintain accurate shipping documents, such as bills of lading and packing lists.

Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to arrange timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Track and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Operate and maintain shipping and receiving equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.

Collaborate with other departments to resolve shipment and delivery issues.

Comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.

Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery.

Ability to perform tasks that require manual dexterity
