AECOM is seeking an experienced Site Survey Technician to support our projects located in the Newark, DE area. This position involves performing field surveys, collecting and verifying data, and assisting with project documentation to ensure accuracy and quality. The ideal candidate will have prior survey experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Process raw field survey data collected by field crews using Trimble Business Center or similar softwareDraft topographic, boundary, and construction survey plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStationPerform QA/QC on incoming field data and ensure accuracy of deliverablesAssist with the preparation of digital terrain models (DTMs), surfaces, and alignmentsSupport project managers and licensed surveyors with data analysis, calculations, and documentationMaintain organized project files and adhere to company and client CAD standardsConduct field surveys using various surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scannersAssist in the setup and operation of survey instruments and equipmentPerform basic survey calculations and adjustments as neededCollaborate with field crews to ensure proper data collection and resolution of any discrepanciesAssist in the preparation of survey reports, including property descriptions and easement exhibitsParticipate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clientsStay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices in surveying and geospatial data processingAssist in the development and implementation of survey-related workflows and proceduresContribute to the maintenance and calibration of survey equipment to ensure optimal performance
