Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Qualys Engineerfor a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in New Castle, DE. Responsibilities :

  • Follow up on the progress and drive the subsequent resolution for various issues
  • Regularly interact with the embedded compliance and application data support teams
  • Provide operational and administrative support for the Qualys Cloud Platform
  • Complete daily activities by adhering to the defined SLA levels
  • Testing and deployment of Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) and/or Qualys policies
  • Assist in the assessment, & processing of audit and Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) related request in a timely manner
  • Ability to create documents as per firm Standard.
Required Skills:
  • Education Level Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-7 years' work experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills
  • Knowledgeable in Infrastructure Security, CyberSecurity, Vulnerability Management and Policy Compliance
  • Experienced in Security Operations and Processes
  • Understanding of Security Practices, Process Flows and Analysis
  • Strong coding and scripting skills ie Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Bash Shell, and Node.js
  • Knowledge of REST+JSON, Swagger
  • Analytical knowledge
  • Software Development Lifecycle and Process Automation
  • Knowledge of the Qualys Private Cloud Platform and its associated modules
  • Familiarity with the Symantec ESM or Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS)
  • Working knowledge of the Qualys Cloud Platform and associated modules
  • Familiarity with the Qualys Web Application API
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service/focus skills
  • Good understanding of supporting a complex and distributed technical environment
  • Excellent people skills, ability to interact successfully with business, and other technology groups
  • Service oriented
  • Strong documentation and communications skills.
  • Proven ability to deal with demanding client needs
  • Organization ability to prioritize work and deliver on time against project plans
  • Highest level of integrity due to the nature of the team and its responsibilities
  • Understanding of standard project management practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of control design for compliance
Preferred Skills:
  • CISSP, CISA, ITIL certifications a plus
  • Experience in Technical support is preferred
