Reporting to the Director of Public Works or designate, the Engineering Technologist will collect infrastructure data for the City of Merritt’s GIS system, prepare and/or coordinate municipal infrastructure planning reports through thorough filed inspections, implement detailed analysis of existing and proposed infrastructure and compile and maintain the City’s record drawings and infrastructure reports.The Engineering Technologist will support the Public Works and Planning and Development departments with troubleshooting infrastructure and development-related issues and work collaboratively with other municipal staff and departments.  In addition, the Engineering Technologist will be responsible for development and ongoing maintenance of the asset management program.
