Description SAIC is hiring a Wireless Engineer to join our team in Washington D.C. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day activities required to manage wireless services, such as design, implementation, and management, to include troubleshooting of complex wireless issues. Manages all components of the Cisco wireless network, to include access points, controllers, and management systems. Configures and manages mobility services, such as Cisco Prime and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). Qualifications Must have a minimum of 7 years of related experience managing wireless networks, possessing extensive skills and knowledge in Wi-Fi design, troubleshooting, and management. Must have experience configuring and administrating Cisco Wi-Fi products, such as Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). Must possess a CCNP Certification or equivalent, or CCNP - Wireless preferred.
  • Cisco wireless and related technology including:
    • Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC)
    • Mobility Services Engines (MSE)
    • Cisco Prime Infrastructure (CPI)
    • Wireless Access Points (WAP)
    • AnyConnect wireless supplicant
    • Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • General 802.11i wireless knowledge including EAP methods including EAP-TLS, certificates, authentication, supplicant integration on Microsoft Windows clients, Guest portal integration, pre-shared key (PSK) networks, centralized controllers with tunneled (CAPWAP) WAPs and distributed (FlexConnect) WAPs, 802.1x and RADIUS
  • Configuring and operating Prime to manage wireless, run reports, include floorplans and heatmaps
  • General networking knowledge necessary to support wireless integration (VLANs, HSRP, IP addressing, trunking, routing, access ports on switches, RADIUS configuration)
  • Ability to lead and deliver upcoming wireless technical refresh / design change project
  • Ability to produce Visio diagrams and narrative Word design documentation and other related documentation on wireless including SOPs, as-built infrastructure, etc. is a MUST
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
