Key Responsibilities:

Ensure Databases are operating efficiently and effectively.

Support database migrations and consolidations (ad-hoc and scheduled).

Oversee database replication, which may include the setup for new replication activities.

Develop Service Design Packages and maintain SOPs for all Oracle database systems

Responsible for insuring compliance with all regulations, upgrade and optimize the performance of Oracle Databases and support future planning efforts

Configure environments for and in support of all Oracle database related aspects of user acceptance testing, functional acceptance testing, system-level testing, database security testing, installation/migration testing, configuration/compatibility testing, and performance, load and stress testing, as well as support of systems assurance tasks.

Work Environment:

Location: Annapolis Junction MD [On-site]

Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20% Travel

Working Hours: Standard 40 hour per week

Qualifications :

Required:

Clearance: Top Secret with SCI

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD

Minimum of 10+ years of Database Administration (DBA) experience

Minimum of 8+ years database design including, capacity planning, configuration, migration, performance monitoring, tuning, security, data recovery and troubleshooting

Proven general knowledge in virtualization and networking, and a working knowledge of MS Project

Proven experience insuring compliance with all regulations, upgrades, optimizing the performance of all databases, and supporting future planning

Oracle DB certification; Version 12 or above

Current ITIL Foundations certification

Desired:

Oracle Certified Master certification

Basic Compensation:

$200,000 to $210,000This range is for the Maryland area onlyThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
