Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics.ResponsibilitiesSenior Director, Policy and Advocacy, you'll oversee federal, state and local advocacy strategy. Include crafting proactive policy strategy and actively promote the organization's advocacy agenda before federal and state legislatures, regulatory officials, and political leaders.
Collaborate with senior leadership to implement Ascension’s advocacy strategy and achieve the organization's significant goals.
Support the development of the organization's advocacy strategy, ensuring alignment with system strategies and objectives.
Track and monitor relevant state, federal and local health policy and regulatory issues while developing state regulatory comments and reporting on relevant federal health policy and regulatory issues.
Collaborate with operational, strategic and financial executives to provide advocacy input on the business strategies that will enable the organization to achieve its business goals.
Coordinate closely with Ministry and Ascension Communication's staff to hone and shape the organization's state and local advocacy messaging.
Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
RequirementsEducation:
High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experiencerequired, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor'sdegree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those yearsbeing in leadership/management.
