Cloud Monitoring Lead to work remotely on a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and be local to DC. Primary Responsibilities:• Provide expert technical guidance on modern cloud observability. Collaborates with client teams to analyze, recommend, and help build processes, procedures, and automation of tools to address a holistic approach that includes logging/events, metrics, and traces. Help define service-level indicators and baseline service-level objective, align solutions, processes and procedures, and deliver actionable reporting capabilities. Assess current toolset to identify gaps and recommend solutions to consider. Help define and manage evaluations and proof of concepts through collaboration with client teams.• As assigned, lead cloud architecture and technology design projects using appropriate methodologies to develop production-ready solutions.• At least 10 years of progressive experience and seven years leading/providing technical direction. Client and Project Description:• The project supports IT modernization and hybrid cloud effort with a focus on cloud migration, cloud readiness, internal cloud portal for product teams, observability, enabling and optimizing cloud use, developing cloud migration patterns, and cloud disaster recovery.• This role will initially support the cloud monitoring and observability workstream to assess current state capabilities, tools, and processes and help modernize and align observability capabilities with best practice approaches and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in traditional and cloud monitoring including observability for microservices and container-based environments. Experience with Instana, Data dog, and other modern tools is a plus.
