We are looking for an Experienced Auto Mechanic to join our team! The preferable candidate will be strong in diagnostics along with a good general knowledge of most makes and models of vehicles. Volvo experience a plus! We are seeking a reliable, hardworking person with a background in automotive care. While we prefer an experienced mechanic, we will consider training an apprentice/helper. We are a small shop so you must be willing to wear many hats!
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and perform mechanical adjustments, repairs, and parts replacements
Diagnose problems and estimate repair costs according to shop guidelines
Order repair parts as instructed and perform designated repairs
Strong verbal communication skills (expected to relay auto repair info/estimates to customers, other mechanics, or insurance adjusters)
Ensure repair orders are completed accurately including use of current rates, labor and parts charges
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Help keep the repair shop clean and organized
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required
Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills required
