Responsibilities: Manage daily production workflow along with our Transcript team. Ensure quality control and accuracy of published content for database using proprietary software. Apply house style to news copy, fix speaker and typographical errors on continuous deadlines. Identify and rectify discrepancies and errors in content. Verify inconsistencies and solve data input problems as needed Research and data entry accurately and efficiently. Maintain quality and accuracy of content before publishing to proprietary online database. Coordinate and manage other editors as well as interns Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Interest in politics, legislative tracking and above-average knowledge of Congress & state legislatures. Demonstrated ability to multi-task Quick and accurate editing skills. Knowledge of AP Style. Accurate data entry skills and scheduling experience is a plus Ability to work well under pressure while meeting consistent deadlines. Ability to execute instructions and be trusted to work independently. Editing experience in an online or print environment under daily deadline pressure preferred. College degree or upperclassmen status at credentialed University.
