For more information on SCA, visitwww.scasurgery.com.Facility Description:Busy ambulatory surgery center in Palm Beach County with six OR’s and two GI suites performing between 30 and 60 cases a day. Physician supported facility bonus plan annually. Lunches available daily for all staff. Other events and perks provided spontaneously throughout the year.Accountabilities / ResponsibilitiesThe Front Desk Clerk is responsible for the initial response to the telephone or to a person entering the Facility, checking patients in for surgery, collecting copays and deductibles, opening and processing the mail, entering AR received through the mail and balancing at the end of the day, some data entry, completion of special projects, and general office assistance in compliance with the philosophy of the facility, standards of practice and the regulations of governing agencies.Key Responsibilities:
initial response to the telephone or to a person entering the facility
registration of patients on the day of surgery
collection of copays and deductibles
preparation of charts for next day
opening and processing the mail
entering AR received through the mail
balancing at the end of the day
computer data entry
Other ancillary duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Graduate
Prior experience required 2-5 years
BLS
Excellent communication skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to work quickly and effectively while maintaining a calm atmospher
