RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client is seeking a Threat and Vulnerability Management Engineer in Boca Raton, FL. Responsibilities: In this role, the Threat and Vulnerability Management Engineer will be responsible for management and development of Asset and Vulnerability Management platforms Vulnerability assessment and remediation using a risk-based framework Utilize a people, process, and technology mindset to accomplish objectives of reducing risk Lead meetings with IT counterparts to communicate risk and establish commitments for remediation The Threat and Vulnerability Management Engineer will explore opportunities for improvements around automations, integrations, and optimizations Identify opportunities to reduce the attack surface utilizing a variety of toolsets and vulnerability data Develop automations around asset and software compliance Utilize Threat Intelligence Platforms to prioritize risk remediation efforts As a Threat and Vulnerability Management Engineer, you will conduct attack and breach simulation exercises to improve the response and defense effectiveness of the Blue Team

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technology field or equivalent in comparable work experience within the network or security field preferred Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Equivalent preferred SANS and/or Advanced GIAC certifications desired Experience with network security devices such as firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention, web application firewalls, Wireless Intrusion Prevention, Vulnerability Management and SIEM tools Experience with information security incident response and risk mitigation Experience in Linux and Windows system administration and security Experience with Javascript and Python programming languages Experience with Vulnerability Management Platforms such as Qualys, Rapid 7, Tenable, etc. Experience with Asset Management Platforms such as Axonius and/or CMDBs Excellent communication and writing skills Open-minded, adaptable and passionate about learning Highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a high performing team Broad knowledge of Enterprise Infrastructure concepts and best practices as they relate to Cyber Security and incident response Solid understanding of packets, network traffic, and the OSI model Knowledge of penetration testing methods and tools
