Experienced Fabricator Needed Wood Metal, one individual, M-F 9am -5pm
We manufacture event marketing equipment and custom road cases. We offer a full-time open position in our design and assembly department and seek a motivated, detail-oriented individual with metalworking, woodworking, and light electrical skills, working on LED lights that operate quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
Job requirements have a pickup truck to run occasional local pick-ups in the Daytona Beach area & be an experienced Fabricator
Must be able to lift 75 pounds on occasion
Light woodworking, metalworking
LED lighting experience needed
Project management expertise
Interpret blueprints accurately and build to specs
Efficiency in cutting materials
Ability to read a tape measure
Work quickly and efficiently
Follow guidelines and procedures and solve problems
Experience helpful in solid works/Auto Cad Adobe Illustrator is a big plus!
Proper and safe use of tools and ability to follow and maintain a CLEAN, organized, and safe work environment
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Operating pallet jacks and lifts safely
Shipping orders using carriers such as FedEx and UPS
Take direction well from a supervisor
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
Ability to work unsupervised
Compensation dependent on related experience and proof of existing or past salaries.
Role and responsibilities of the position:
Build, assemble, and manufacture road cases and event marketing equipment, including positioning, aligning, fitting, and riveting parts to form the exterior of the road case according to standard guidelines
Adhere to road case standards for the placement of handles, latches, hinges, etc.
Adhere to road case standards for painting caster boards and other wood-working scenarios
Layout/examine hardware to be used. Ensure specifications are met.
Lift or move materials and finished products using carts and other equipment
Set up and operate fabricating machines, including chop saws, drills, grinders, sanders, rivet guns, pliers, etc.
Set up jigs and fixtures when available
Must complete external fabrication within the allowed time frame
Must notify management of low quantities of materials
Hourly Wage: $18-$22 per hour
