Harmonica Teacher Needed for Lung Disease Patients
Are you a harmonica enthusiast with a passion for helping others? We are seeking a volunteer harmonica teacher to join our Harmonicas for Health® program, designed to help patients with chronic lung disease improve their lung function and quality of life through music.
About the Program: Harmonicas for Health® teaches patients to mimic pursed-lip breathing, which can make breathing easier and reduce the stress associated with shortness of breath. This program, created by respiratory therapists, uses harmonica playing as a therapeutic tool to maximize lung function.
Requirements:
Proficiency in playing the harmonica
Patience and a friendly demeanor
Willingness to work with patients with chronic lung disease
Availability to teach classes on a regular basis
Responsibilities:
Teach patients the basics of playing the harmonica
Guide patients through exercises designed to improve lung function
Provide encouragement and support to patients
