AECOM is actively seeking to add a Project Geologist to our Fort Lauderdale, FL office.  Our business focuses primarily on providing professional and technical services in engineering design, code consultation, and construction phase services for a wide variety of clients both in the private and public sectors. We execute large and complex engineering projects and provide a comprehensive range of professional planning and design, systems engineering and technical assistance, program and construction management, and operations and maintenance services. The role will be responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project-specific objectives and policies. The department is involved in many on-going efforts and continue to utilize top talent to exceed performance expectations. The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to: Utilizes advanced scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies develop technical solutions to complex problems.

Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, provincial and national regulations to ensure compliance. Work is performed with minimal direction. 

Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Responsible for advanced duties and activities in their specialized functional area.

Conducts research and does investigation work as required. 

Plans and organizes project studies. 

Assists in the resolution of conflicting technical information and unsuitability of standard procedures. 

Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems. 

May oversee the work of less experienced scientists.
