Live-In Caregiver (3-5 Days/Week) – Small 3-Resident Group Home
Setting: Licensed 6-resident group home
Schedule: Live-in, 3-5 consecutive days per week
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
Start Date: Flexible
Who This Role Is For
This position is designed for experienced group home staff who are burned out from large facilities, chronic understaffing, and constant crisis mode.
This is a small, stable, 3-resident group home with established routines, clear behavior plans, and realistic expectations.
If you know how to manage behaviors but are looking for fewer residents, calmer pacing, and professional respect, this role offers that.
The Home Environment
3 residents only
Predictable routines
Written behavior support plans
No rotating staff chaos
Emphasis on de-escalation, structure, and dignity
Team communication without micromanagement
You are not expected to “fix” a broken system — the system already exists.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care and supervision for 3 residents
Support individuals with autism and developmental/physical disabilities
Implement behavior support strategies from group home experience
Manage behavioral challenges using calm, non-punitive approaches
Follow established routines and care plans
Assist with meals, personal care, and daily activities
Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured home environment
Communicate observations clearly with the care coordinator
Handle live-in responsibilities with professionalism and consistency
Required Experience
Previous group home or residential care experience (required)
Experience supporting individuals with autism and behavioral needs
Comfortable working independently during live-in shifts
Emotionally steady; able to de-escalate without escalation
Reliable, punctual, and respectful of boundaries
CPR/First Aid preferred (or willingness to obtain)
