Job Summary:

Fe Medical Center is seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to manage a variety of administrative tasks efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for patients and visitors at our multi-specialty clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff with a warm and welcoming attitude.

Manage the check-in and check-out process, including verifying patient information and insurance details.

Schedule and confirm appointments, manage the appointment calendar, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

Answer incoming phone calls, address inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate department or personnel.

Collect and process payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances.

Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Assist with general office tasks such as filing, scanning, and faxing documents.

Manage the waiting area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and comfortable for patients.

Provide information to patients about clinic services, policies, and procedures.

Handle mail and package deliveries, distributing them to the appropriate recipients.

Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the clinic.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, or in a similar role is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency in using office equipment, such as computers, fax machines, and printers.

Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift and move up to 15 pounds.

Salary $14-$16 hourly
