POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for overseeing the inspection, maintenance, and repairs of container, chassis, and flat racks, used for highway transportation and within the terminal operations. This position also manages the daily operation of the Tire Maintenance & Repair department.
Required
3+ years of experience repairing and restructuring equipment, including containers, chassis, and flat racks
Must have prior experience supervising a welding crew or have advanced Stick and MIG welding experience.
Must have a strong knowledge of DOT regulation, familiarize yourself with DOT audits and FMCSA Safer compliance programs.
Must have prior experience overseeing or possess basic intermodal electrical repair or maintenance.
Must have knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement.
Possess previous work experience in the shipping/transportation industry.
Must be able to operate equipment required for repair and maintenance.
