Description Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to partner with clients in the Fort Myers and/or Naples metro areas on in the immediate future. The ideal candidate will have a sufficient amount of full cycle accounting experience in industry to effectively demonstrate versatility working with different industries and systems and the ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment. The typical scope of responsibilities are as follows:
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, reconciling account balances and bank statements and maintaining general ledger
Preparation of indirect tax computations and returns
Prepare financial reports and corresponding variance analysis and support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Establish and enforce processes to ensure for compliance with GAAP, as well as any industry specific regulatory standards and SOX guidelines when applicable
Actively seek out opportunities to gaining efficiencies, streamline and/or automate business processes and optimize accounting / financial systems
Provide mentorship / guidance to staff level accountants in order to foster a high morale, team-oriented dynamic and culture of success, efficiency, and accountability
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field of study required
CPA designation or similar certifications, MBA or similar graduate degrees a plus
5+ years of full cycle accounting experience is highly desired, ideally with exposure to several different industries
Experience in a corporate setting working for a mid-size or large corporation is preferred
Strong technical proficiency having worked in ERP systems and effectively putting into practice strong Excel proficiency is a must
