At United Mechanical we offer commercial and institutional HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services throughout the entire Southwest Florida region. Our areas of expertise range from hospital/healthcare, school systems & universities, hospitality, and commercial facilities.

As a result of continued growth and success, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager for projects in the Southwest Florida market. We are growing and expanding and are looking for professional, career minded people. In this position you will:

Provide project related data and designated reports to the director of operations for review with the president.

Deliver proactive and effective leadership with active involvement and direct oversight of all areas of assigned projects.

Develop strategies and implementation plans to maintain project costs within budget and on time.

Help identify and establish new products, programs and initiatives that promote profitable growth for the company.

Implement, manage, evaluate, and enforce operational processes and procedures.

Proactively prepare, direct and track project budgets, financial results, and production metrics and make recommendations as required.

Ensure that jobs are completed according to specifications and quality.

Attend scheduled Project Manager meetings and Field Manager meetings as required.

Keep up to date on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance.

Be part of a high performing team that teaches and shares their knowledge.

Enjoy a large customer base that provides exposure to all areas of the Mechanical Trade.

Receive on the job training to work with specialized mechanical systems and continue your learning.

Maintain company confidentiality.

Attend and participate in all required meetings, training exercises, and company activities.

Adhere to all company policies and departmental procedures and rules.

Our ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the HVAC industry is preferred, but not required.

Ability to analyze and solve work related problems.

Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

Ability to train and supervise others.

Knowledge and use of Word, Excel, Microsoft outlook and other standard electronic mediums is a must.

The ability to work well within a team setting and be self-motivated to handle tasks independently.
