Job Overview:
As a Roof Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in our roofing operations, responsible for the fabrication of sheet metal components for roofs. Your expertise in working with various metals and materials will contribute to the overall success and durability of our roofing projects.
Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine sheet metal requirements.
Fabricate sheet metal components, including roof panels, flashings, gutters, and downspouts, using various cutting, bending, and welding techniques.
Operate machinery and equipment, such as shears, brakes, rollers, and welders, to shape and assemble metal parts accurately.
Measure, cut, and shape materials to precise dimensions and angles to ensure proper fit and functionality.
Ensure the quality and accuracy of fabricated components, adhering to industry standards and project specifications.
Collaborate with the roofing team to plan and organize sheet metal installation procedures.
Safely handle and store materials, following all safety guidelines and best practices.
Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular maintenance as needed.
Assist in other roofing tasks when required, such as roofing installation, repairs, or maintenance.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator or similar role in the roofing industry.
In-depth knowledge of various sheet metal materials, such as steel, aluminum, copper, and zinc.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
Skilled in using sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment, including shears, brakes, rollers, and welders.
Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials when required.
Commitment to safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in sheet metal fabrication is a plus.
