Tucker, PI). Using a sample of emerging adults recruited from disadvantaged communities, this randomized controlled trial will evaluate a behavioral economic intervention aimed at increasing future orientation and engagement in pro-social alternatives to drinking and will be delivered using a peer driven sampling method and web-based platform well suited for accessing emerging adult social networks. The primary duties will involve coordinating and conducting sample recruitment in the field in North and Central Florida at venues frequented by the target sample and documenting venue selection and sample recruitment locations and outcomes. Secondary duties include providing support for other ongoing research studies and administrative/organizational tasks for the grant project and the Center for Behavioral Economic Research.Primary responsibilities include:

Participant recruitment. Conduct field procedures to select suitable venues for “seed” recruitment to start the online peer-to-peer respondent driven sampling process.

Data collection and management. Conduct field data collection to screen potential seed participants, consent eligible seeds, and administer an online research questionnaire and video training on how to recruit their peers. Coordinate field data collection with other study recruiters; monitor and perform quality assurance checks on field data collection and assist with training recruiters. Enter and review data, assist with monitoring sample development and characteristics and data sharing compliance, and help with developing study materials and programs and modifying as needed.

Study coordination. Assist with development and modification of materials for IRB submissions, assist with timely participant compensation, schedule and coordinate research sessions, and track study progress metrics. Help manage study equipment and tracking, and inventory of study supplies. Develop and maintain knowledge of study protocol and appropriate conduct of procedures in accord with UF, departmental, and lab guidelines. Maintain required research credentials and trainings.

Additional tasks. Assist with the development of manuscripts, reports, conduct literature reviews, and prepare descriptive and basic inferential statistics. Contribute to training and supervision of undergraduate research assistants. Other tasks may be performed as needed.

Expected Salary:$17-$20 per hourMinimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

One year of experience working with human subject research

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or other discipline with a focus in behavioral science

Two years of experience working with human subject research

Experience with data collection (e.g., REDCap) and statistical software (e.g., SPSS)

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
