In this role, this individual will work alongside the Mathematics Team to perform duties that include, but are not limited to, facilitating Math Matrix courses as an instructor, leading the team of instructors in the Math Matrix courses, conducting research and collecting data on participant-instructor engagement, collaborating with associates on the Mathematics team and other teams on matters related to course management, and attending events and trainings representing the Lastinger Center for Learning supporting Mathematics implementation throughout the state.This position is in Gainesville, FL.The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning’s mission is to improve the quality of teaching, learning, and childcare. Contribute significantly to the development and management of a highly trained “Assessor/Navigator/Instructor Community of Experts.”

Provide high-quality formative and substantive feedback with fidelity, as well as logistical and content support for Math Matrix participants toward successful completion of their coursework.

Develop training resources and lead facilitation for assessors/navigators/instructors.

Supervision

Contribute to onboarding and training of new Math Matrix assessors/navigators/instructors and ongoing training for current assessors/navigators/instructors.

Hold periodic check-ins with assessors/navigators/instructors, including regular office hours for informal support.

Monitor submission turn-around time and work with management to respond to related issues.

Provide feedback and ongoing support to assessors/navigators.

Research and Data Collection

Assess and monitor assessors’/navigators’/instructors’ submission rating fidelity, re-train as needed, and work with management to respond to related issues.

Use Flamingo reporting system and coordinate with management and enrollment to ensure that assessors/navigators/instructors maintain full rosters of active participants.

Coordinate and manage processes, such as periodic participant progress monitoring; self and administrative withdrawals from the Math Matrix; retakes; remedial support for participants as needed.

Keep accurate records, including assessors/navigators/instructors’ rosters; roster changes; starting and ending dates for training, trial assessment periods, and full assessor/navigator/instructor roles; attendance at meetings and trainings; invoice records; assessor/navigator/instructor performance.

Collaboration

Contribute to building an “Assessor/navigator/instructor Community of Experts.”

Provide ongoing support to all assessors/navigators/instructors, including serving as a liaison between assessors/navigators/instructors, management, and tech support.

Content Development

Assist in the design of professional development learning experiences (F2F and online) in partnership with the Content Development and Learning Experiences teams.

Assess ongoing needs of participants and evaluate assessors’/navigators’/instructors’ feedback to inform design changes in training content.

Supplement professional learning experiences with the collection, creation, and curation of Mathematics online resources.

Allowing employees to stagger arrival and departure times as necessary and to vary the number of workdays in the office so long as an employee’s FTE commitment is fulfilled within the university workweek.
