Knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, patient safety and sterile technique. Our state-of-the-art hospital in Jacksonville includes 34 operating rooms that include an IMRI OR suite and a dedicated endovascular OR suite. We use the best modern equipment and advanced technologies to create an environment that merges the art of healing with the science of medicine.QualificationsEDUCATION : Graduate of an accredited and/or hospital approved Surgical Technician program. Certification preferred.EXPERIENCE : Fulfilled through the educational process and documented on a skill check list which is kept current on each individual.Additional Qualifications:COMPETENCY: Otorhinolaryngology General/Gynecology Neurology Orthopedics Cardiovascular. Cardiothoracic experience strongly preferred.JOB KNOWLEDGE: Principles of aseptic technique; orientation of surgical procedures; preparation, operation and care of equipment and machines; understands patient and staff safety recommendations.ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

Capable of rapid accurate reactions

Concern for quality patient care

Communicates and works effectively with various levels of personnel

Stands and walks major portion of work schedule

Moderate to heavy lifting required

Exposure to cuts, burns, infection, biohazardous chemicals and x-ray

License or Certification:

Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.

Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
