Are you ready to join this team and make an impact?An Associate Project Specialist will be responsible for coordinating technology projects with cross-discipline team members to ensure all parties optimally complete project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. This role will assist a project’s responsible engineer with the overall planning, budgeting, and coordinating activities and resources. Additional responsibilities include tracking and prioritizing developmental assets, documentation, and project artifact delivery. This individual will connect with key partners including Imagineering, Live Entertainment, Cruise Line, Engineering Services, as well as internal Cast members and report to the Manager, Show Control/AVThis position is a full-time project hire role.What You Will Do
Coordinating projects with cross-discipline team members (Imagineering, Engineering, Safety, Operations, etc.), ensuring all parties complete scheduled priorities.
Lead a range of work on self-contained and defined projects of appropriate size and complexity based on previous experience.
Build and update project documentation such as Project Charters, requirements, status reports, organizational change, and risk management.
Develop and share clear goals for the project i.e., teamwork strategies, scope delineation, schedule, budget, etc.
Responsible for optimally driving test scripts, training documentation, and sustainment planning.
Identify and communicate requirements with partners.
Evaluate and mitigate risk management by prioritizing functional and technical issues throughout the project.
Build and maintain detailed work plans for project implementation; connect with the team; run day-to-day activities.
Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues to minimize delays.
Coordinate and maintain artifact release schedule.
Collect design input and distribute communications.
Handle the tasks and timelines of multiple projects simultaneously.
Handle inventory and status of developmental and project assets.
Facilitate workplace improvements through organization and management of support requests.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Solid understanding of Project Management standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into relatable business concepts.
Independent time management skills.
Strong decision-making ability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent planning and follow-up skills.
Working knowledge of various administrative toolsets (MS Teams, Word, Excel, Smartsheet, Airtable).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MS Teams, Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
Experience in eliciting and documenting business and system requirements.
Experience with software development/information technology implementation projects.
Ability to read and understand architectural and technical drawings.
Experience in technical documentation dealing with mechanical, electrical or software systems.
Basic understanding of hardware deployed and used in a Theme Park or Theater environment.
Education
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Theater, Environmental Design, or other Entertainment or Development-related field or shown equivalent experience.
